Come on out on Saturday August 21st for THE Beers for Books event of the summer!!! Dan O’Brien, CEO of Take Tokyo Inc., the Room to Read Shonan Group and Umi-no-ie Asia invite you to join us for an ALL-DAY Beers for Books event at the coolest beach house on Kamakura Beach.
Everyone is welcome to join us for this event. We’ll have some family-friendly activities during the day and fun-for-all at night, including an aloha shirt contest (prizes for best/ugliest aloha shirts), live music, and more…
For those of you new to Beers for Books, the concept is simple: For every drink you have,100 yen will be donated to Room to Read and that buys a treasured high-quality local language book for children. We’ll also be featuring a fun raffle to create additional books for kids.
Room to Read is an amazing NPO whose mission is to provide quality educational opportunities to children in developing countries with the goal of empowering kids via literacy and gender equality in education.
