This August at Pio we have some exciting events planned. First up is a month long exhibition of underwater photography by a group of six photographers, from August 2 to September 1. On the evening of August 9, Ayako Takahashi and Kimiko Korekata, graduates of Musashino Academia Musicae, will sing a collection of classics together from 7 pm. These girls are amazing! Enjoy an evening of live music over wine and tapas.
Speaking of which, we’ve recently greatly expanded our selection of Spanish wine, cheese and sherry. We now have Manchego, San Simon, Ibores, Tierno and Valdeon cheeses, delicious white, rose and red wines from Bodegas Villacezan, Bodegas Berberna, Ca N’Estruc and more, and a full range of sherries from Bodegas Baron. Recently we also had an original coffee blend developed for Pio that’s freshly roasted each week by Azabu Kobo (http://www.azabu-kobo.com/). Of course our tapas selection is also growing, and we are still offering great pasta and risotto dishes. If it’s not too busy, the chef may be able to make your favorite pasta. Just ask the staff! For those of you in with offices in Ebisu, we are planning to offer take-out lunch from early this week
Below is more information about this month’s exhibit and duet. Hope to see everyone at Pio soon!
Coral reefs as hosts to marine life: The collected works of six underwater photographers.
An underwater photography exhibition by six photographers who came to know each other through a common interest in diving and blogging. As 2008 is the International Year of the Reef, the main theme of this exhibition is coral reefs and corals.
