Classic All Blacks vs Japan XV

The Classic All Blacks make another visit to Japan to take on Japan’s best on May 31 (Saturday) . Tickets go on sale from April 19 and they start as low as 500yen! But I believe that is for non-reserved seats at both goal ends. Heck, you could have a small party there and save the money for food and drinks. Go to JRFU’s (Japan Rugby Football Union) site to order tickets in English →

Last year the Classic All Blacks downed the Japanese team 35-26 in Kobe and 36 to 6 in Tokyo. The match will take place at a much larger venue this year. It will be held at Tokyo National Olympic Stadium where the national soccer team usually plays, with the kick off at 14:00. Japan coach John Kirwan’s national squad has come a long way since last year, with a respectable showing at the World Cup.

Here is a video of the nations’ anthems and Haka at last year’s match in Tokyo → Anthems and Haka

Date: May 31, 2008
